Other InformationIn order to be eligible for benefits, workers who are permanently unemployed are required to look for work and register for work with the public employment office. Some union workers who get work through the union hiring hall are waived from this requirement. If you get work through a union hiring hall and your dues are paid, you may not be required to look for work elsewhere. If you are receiving or will be receiving any pension, answer "YES" to the question "Are you/will you be receiving pension pay from the base period employer?” Unemployment benefits are fully taxable by the federal government. You may choose to have Federal Income tax withheld from your unemployment benefit checks. Some workers who have a definite offer of new work are not required to look for work or register for work to be eligible for unemployment. If you have an offer of work with any employer not mentioned before, provide that information here.
