Quarterly Reporting Options

You must report the wages paid to your employees quarterly by filing a Contribution Report and Wage Report.  Most employers must also pay a quarterly contribution based on their tax rate and the taxable wages reported.  You can file your reports and payment on-line by quarter/year.

You have the following filing options:

  • No Wages to Report

  • Wage Report Only

  • Contributions Report Only

  • Both Contributions and Wage Report

  • Upload Wage Report Using File

You must enter the “Reporting Quarter” and “Reporting Year” to be filed and select your filing option.  The entry screen process for that option will begin. You can only file one quarter/year and payment at a time.  To enter additional quarter/years, click on the left-hand navigation bar to access the Reporting Options screen again.

You must file quarterly reports even if you had no payroll for the quarter, unless you notify DWD that you are inactive.   If you did not have any payroll to report for a specific quarter/year, enter the quarter and year in the “Reporting Quarter” and “Reporting Year” fields and select the “No Wages to Report” button.
